TWO I550 IN SAIL MAGAZINE?

It looks like two i550s are in a full page photo in the August SAIL magazine. it is on page 46 in an article is on the Everglade Challenge. The photo is at dawn and is a bit dark, but that is Hot Canary and the other boat behind her.

Yes, in the Meade's excellent story in SAIL that is Hot Canary, and the boat in the background I think is Jeff Linton's Frankenscot, winner of class 4 a few days after this picture was taken. The other i550, #129, was a bit further down the beach at the start. Both i550s were in the lead pack in class 4 until about sunset on day 1, and were unsurprisingly clearly competitive surfing downwind. While we both broke our boats on the first shoal after spending the day surfing in deepwater, it was a chamber of commerce day: literally downwind from sunrise to sunset with boatspeed from low singles to low teens.
